Chengdu, City of Pandas
One of the most attractive things in Chengdu is without a doubt Pandas! Such fluffy, lovely, lazy and cute creatures that will make your heart melt.

Tired? Have a massage!
I love my job in China not only because it's my dream come true to live there, but also because I have a lot of holidays. So, sometimes it's actually a lot of pressure to work and live there by myself, that one of these (a month) are very needed!
A beautiful Chinese girl giving a great massage, having a drink and watching a good movie for a couple of hours. This is life!

Chinese Barbecue
Throughout this Blog I will be posting pictures of food and other amazing places I have visited in China. For now I will just leave a few pictures of Chinese Barbecue, which is amazing!
This was the first time I tried the Chinese Barbecue, and it was at the same Mountain I told you about in previous posts (Laojun Mountain) I believe pictures express better than words so, I will leave here a few pictures but then I will be posting more.
In the Chinese barbecue they cook different kinds of food such as vegetables, seafood, meat and more.

Pig Brain!
Yes, this is Pig Brain, and no, I didn't like it. The taste is actually not that bad, but sometimes it's the idea of knowing what it is that makes me not like it.
Humor and Fun in HuangLongXi Ancient Town
During one of my trips, I went to an Ancient town called HuangLongXi (Which translated means "Yellow Dragon River") and met an interesting character. A funny middle aged man, cooking some kind of wrap stuffed with some vegetables and meat. Delicious by the way, but the most interesting part was the guy himself. Take a look!
Sichuan, DeYang Countryside
I really enjoyed living in the countryside. As many of you know, pollution is a serious problem in many parts in China. But in the countryside, the air is clean and the scenery is beautiful. These pictures are in a place in the mountains near DeYang in Sichuan province.
People in the countryside harvest their own food which makes it more delicious and fresh of course.

Chinese Bathrooms
This is the only thing I haven't got used to. Luckily in my apartment I have a regular one. Ha! Usually in Hotels there are Western bathrooms but not in Restaurants. It's a challenge if you can't hold it anymore!
Chinese Zodiac Caramel
The first time I went to a mountain in China was in a small place called Qionglai, and mountain's name is LaoJun Mountain. Fresh and cool air, long walks which means good exercise and delicious snacks such as this one. This is caramel but first, there is a roulette which you have to spin. The shape of your caramel candy will be the one you choose in the roulette when you spin it.
These are the 12 Chinese Zodiac Signs which are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig. (By the way, I got the Rooster)
According to the year your were born is the Zodiac sign you get. I was born in 1985 so my sign is Ox. 2015 is the year of the Goat.

Umbrella Corp. in Chengdu
Umbrella Corporation "Our business is life itself", kind of creepy, right? What would you think if you saw this? In Chengdu by the way and it's not the first one I have seen. Although I still don't know what kind of company this is.
Melancholy
I remember, since the first time I went to China, everyone was so nice to me. It was a little difficult to adapt there, since it´s a whole new culture, but I am very happy.
I often feel a little bit alone or melancholic, but these guys always manage to cheer me up!
This is a rural area in Chengdu, and the communication with the students was a little bit difficult since I can't speak Mandarin, but they are kind and sincere. They have great hearts and it was definitely a great experience. I was teaching in 14 different Primary and Middle Schools. All located in rural areas in Chengdu, Qionglai.

Starting...
I don't even know where to start. The first year I was working in a small area located in the countryside in Chengdu. The town's name is Yang'an (羊安) which belongs to Qionglai (邛崃).
Yang'an is a small town. I remember living in an apartment on the 9th floor with a view of the whole town. It was amazing because every night there would be fireworks.
In this place there were no Western influences, which I really enjoyed because I could see the real China. I was the only foreigner living in that area at that time and everyone was very nice to me.
Every night from 7 to 9 there would be fireworks, usually celebrating the birth of a baby, the opening of a new shop or restaurant, or a wedding. It was magical!

Introduction
2013 - 2014
To talk about China is going back thousands of years back in History. But, this is not the main purpose of my blog. Here I would like to share my personal experience living in this country.
I have been living in China for the past 2 years. Working as an English teacher in Sichuan Province, located in the South of China.

I have been living in China for the past 2 years. Working as an English teacher in Sichuan Province, located in the South of China.
The capital city of Sichuan is Chengdu or also known as the Panda City. Sichuan Province has a population of nearly 81'100,000 people. (Which is more than half the population in my country)
In this province you will find beautiful places, delicious and spicy food and friendly people (although all Chinese are very friendly).
Through this blog I will give you just a little bit of a general idea, knowing that every country has its' pros and cons. Either way, I hope you enjoy it.
